This Role
PayJoy works extensively with many of our Smartphone Brand (or “OEM”) partners to drive sales of OEM devices on our installment plans. We have reached over a dozen preferred partner deals with leading OEMs based on technological integration and business cooperation. Your job will be to take this level of cooperation to new heights, increasing appreciation for PayJoy within the OEM’s organization, including its senior leaders, of PayJoy’s significance to OEM’s unit sales in your region and convincing them of your vision of how we can continue to grow together.
You’ll use your knowledge of the smartphone industry in the region together with your business acumen, focus on facts & quantifiable data, presentation skills and business development drive to influence decision making at OEM organizations towards still more constructive partnerships with PayJoy, and leverage those partnerships in support of PayJoy’s Go To Market leadership’s business goals.
Responsibilities
- Drive preferred OEM partners’ unit sales on PayJoy’s installment plans.
- Establish a vision PayJoy’s OEM partnerships in your region.
- Drive to close preferred partner agreements with OEMs that PayJoy has not yet reached this level of partnership.
- Negotiate marketing deals with preferred partners, together measuring ROI relative efficacy of initiatives over time.
- Become a trusted advisor to OEM partners with regard to smartphone financing as a method to drive sales.
- Support your region’s internal Go To Market (GTM) leadership in their quarterly P&L goals, specifically with regard to OEM management in the channels GTM manages.
Qualifications
- At least 10 years in the Smartphone industry, either with one or more Android OEMs directly, or from selling smartphones as part of a telco carrier or large retailer organization charged with ranging smartphones and selling them
- Negotiations experience
- A demonstrated ability to move through today’s uncertainties with a vision of how the future could be, and reaching that future.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment
Desired qualifications
- Consulting experience with a leading consulting firm
- Marketing experience, heavy on quantifiable results & ROI
- Device financing, microlending or micro financial products experience.
