This Role
As a FP&A Analyst, you will:
Lead the development of comprehensive financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-term strategic planning. Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to drive business decisions. Collaborate with business units to gather relevant data and assumptions for accurate forecasting.
Support monthly management reporting, update reporting decks & management reviews. Assist with completing various FP&A adhoc projects as per business requirement.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate financial data including revenue, expenses, and profitability, utilizing advanced modeling techniques; investigate and report on variances between actuals and plan to understand trends and risks/opportunities.
- Develop and manage financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, ad-hoc analysis, and business decision-making.
- Build and refine financial plans that reflect PayJoy’s strategic goals.
- Participate in the monthly accounting close process, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial reports to lenders and investors.
- Coordinate with accounting and other functional areas to collect, organize, and analyze PayJoy financial hi performance and summarize findings for senior management.
- Prepare and present accurate and insightful financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for management and stakeholders.
- Assist in the design and implementation of new financial processes.
- Independently and proactively analyze relevant information and develop solutions to complex problems.
Requirements
- Knowledge of corporate finance, FP&A, and Excel
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in finance, accounting, or related field
- 0-4 years of experience in financial analysis, including excellent analytical skills
- High level of proficiency in financial modeling techniques, using Excel and other modeling tools.
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to dive deep, synthesize insights, and tell a story that communicates complex information in a way that’s easy to understand.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial concepts and modeling results to non-financial stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and accuracy, coupled with the ability to provide strategic recommendations
- based on rigorous analysis.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Self-starter, entrepreneurial, proactive, and comfortable with ambiguity and change.
Desirable qualifications
- Knowledge of Oracle/Hyperion/NetSuite/ PBCS.
- Knowledge of Advanced Excel & Macros.
