This Role
You will contribute to the mission of delivering consumer finance at scale. One of the many reasons PayJoy develops innovative products is because of the collaborative work of our teams that enable consumer finance in emerging markets. This person will help drive the growth of PayJoy’s innovative smartphone service in the Brazilian market.
You will build on the success of PayJoy’s phone financing business to meet ambitious growth goals. You'll work with teammates and external partners to ensure a successful operation. As our ideal candidate, you are dynamic, results-driven and enjoy a high-change environment that is focused on building the next generation of PayJoy’s phone finance experiences. The Merchant Ops Manager is responsible for ensuring an engaging experience of our commercial partners since the onboarding process, helping PayJoy to build long-term strategic relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Be the main point of contact for our merchant support and attending our commercial partners in their administrative operations.
  • Act as an interface between our partners and company's team to create action plans and mobilize the necessary resources to hit our agreed-upon business objectives.
  • Responsible for managing the onboarding process of new merchants, and for the continuous update of existing ones.
  • Lead the creation and implementation of new processes, and responsible for the continuous improvements of the existing ones.
  • Ensure the consistency of PayJoy’s partners administrative information in our system.

Requirements

  • Have a degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related careers with +7 years working for tech, finance, insurance, FMCG companies.
  • Advanced SQL knowledge, and an analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • People management skills.
  • Experience working at fast growing companies.
  • English is required. Spanish to be considered a plus.
