This Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Intercompany Lead to join our finance team. The Intercompany Lead will play a critical role in overseeing and managing intercompany transactions, reconciliation, and accounting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, exceptional analytical skills, a proven track record with transfer pricing, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Intercompany Reconciliation and Accounting: Lead the reconciliation process for all intercompany transactions, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards. Ensure timely recording of intercompany transactions and monitor the accuracy of related journal entries.
- Transfer Pricing Expertise: Apply comprehensive knowledge of transfer pricing regulations, ensuring compliance with international and local laws. Collaborate with tax and legal teams to ensure transfer pricing documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Transaction Monitoring and Analysis: Analyze intercompany transactions to identify discrepancies, errors, or inconsistencies and proactively resolve issues. Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial data related to intercompany transactions for inclusion in financial statements. Liaise with the reporting team to ensure seamless integration of intercompany data into financial reports.
- Process Enhancement: Continuously assess and enhance intercompany accounting processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. Implement best practices and suggest process improvements to optimize intercompany reconciliation.
- Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with various departments, subsidiaries, and external partners to address intercompany transaction-related queries. Foster transparent communication to facilitate cross-functional cooperation.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of all intercompany transactions, reconciliations, adjustments, and transfer pricing methodologies.
- Compliance and Audit Readiness: Ensure strict adherence to relevant accounting standards, company policies, and international transfer pricing regulations. Prepare documentation and support audits related to intercompany transactions and transfer pricing.
- Leadership and Team Management: If applicable, lead and manage a team of accountants responsible for intercompany transactions and reconciliation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred.
- 5 years of experience in accounting, with a strong focus on intercompany transactions, reconciliation, and transfer pricing.
- Solid understanding of transfer pricing regulations and international tax standards.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and ERP systems for reconciliation and reporting. Netsuite preferable.
- Excellent analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to drive process improvements and adapt to changing regulatory environments.
