This role will be onsite at the Gardena Bus Yard in Los Angeles.

Responsibilities

  • Timesheet management for up to 200+ union and non-union employees
  • Process a minimum of 60 Driver Bus Reports (DBRs) regularly per LAUSD guidelines to meet daily payroll deadline
  • Work across multiple platforms for accurate and organized timekeeping
  • Daily maintenance and assurance of compliance for physical timesheets in accordance with district policies
  • Work with Internal teams and affiliated parties such as the school district, Union steward, onsite Billing Admin, operations teams etc. to manage the workflow
  • Ensure payroll is calculated in adherence to Union Policy and internal processes in place
  • Learn all aspects of union employee contracts (CBA)
  • Calculate pay discrepancies and respond to queries promptly
  • Work cross-functionally with HR on onboarding. Gather I9 documentation, submit hiring paperwork to HR and setup employee profile on payroll system
  • Maintain accurate, orderly, and up-to-date filing systems for all administrative
  • Perform various payroll tasks & reported as needed
  • Collaborate with the Training Department to ensure Trainee database is kept up to date and accurate

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook; knowledge of basic office equipment
  • Demonstrated ten-key and data entry skills with the ability to maintain accuracy and speed
  • Basic clerical and math skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills along with interpersonal skills
  • Computer literacy, ability to work across platforms and learn new systems quickly
  • Ability to work under time constraints and produce high volume and quality work
  • Maintain strict confidentiality
  • Effectively and diplomatically handle a wide range of demanding inquiries from a variety of internal and external sources
The targeted base salary range for this role is listed in the compensation section below. Actual salary may be above or below this range based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. In addition, this position may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity, or commissions. The targeted pay range for this role in US CA is: $33.65/hr
