The LATAM General Manager (GM) will execute the go-to-market (GTM) strategy for Latin America, starting in Mexico and continuing to other Spanish-speaking countries like Colombia and Perú. The GM will own the GTM P&L leading the LATAM Sales, CX, and Demand Generation teams ensuring consistent revenue growth, optimizing customer acquisition costs, reducing sales cycles, retaining and maximizing recurring revenue, and achieving profitability on the LATAM business overall.

Responsibilities

  • Go-to-market leadership.

    • Propose and execute expansion strategies to optimize existing operations and launch new markets across Spanish-speaking LATAM countries.

    • Recruit, onboard, and train high-performing employees to achieve objectives for sales, profitability, market penetration, and market share expansion.

  • Project planning and performance tracking.

    • Outline the complete GTM strategy and project plan. Hire the right team members to work on specific launch responsibilities.

    • Define and set up measurement milestones, metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for launch initiatives and activities

    • Participate in sales forecast and sale performance monitoring, promotion planning, pricing e planning.

  • In-depth market and customer development.

    • Generate insights by understanding customer needs using customer validation, buyer persona creation, customer building, and customer discovery techniques.

    • Provide insightful information on the competitive landscape, segmenting, targeting, and positioning across the LATAM market needs towards SaaS products, with a special focus on Mexico and Spanish-speaking markets.

    • Deploy learning strategies to gain more information about the market, such as market segmentation, market development, market refinement, and competitive intelligence analysis.

  • Cross-functional collaboration with a focus on Go-to-market strategy execution.

    • Steer cross-functional teams across sales, service, product, software development, content, marketing, legal, operations, and finance. Evaluate ideas, motivate teams to meet deadlines, and ensure all-around alignment in the GTM process.

    • Partner with leaders in product, engineering, and other teams across the company to ensure that our systems, projects, campaigns, communication, and reporting are transparent and effective.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent communication, presentation, collaboration, and delegation skills.

  • Excellent sales abilities and customer service skills.

  • Solid knowledge of SaaS GTM strategies for the LATAM market.

  • In-depth knowledge of the B2B SaaS and B2B Payments market landscape across LATAM. Preferably previous experience launching new LATAM markets for B2B SaaS and/or B2B Payments products. Experience in the Mexican market is a must.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, innovative attitude, flexible, proactive, service-minded, and a good team player.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Fluency in Spanish and English is a must.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Master’s degree preferred.
  • At least five years of related experience is required.
  • Current human resources and/or compensation credentials or certification preferred.
