Our vision is to create a safer, simpler digital future for everyone, and our culture values simplicity, honesty and a human-centric approach to solving problems. The product marketing team plays a critical role in driving growth and adoption at 1Password. We are responsible for leading go-to-market, championing the voice-of-the-customer, and building cross-functional collaborative strategies that improve outcomes throughout the product lifecycle and end user journey.
We’re looking for a Product Marketing Manager to drive our consumer end user go-to-market strategies. This role provides the unique opportunity to partner closely with our product management and growth marketing teams to deliver winning strategies that drive market awareness, user acquisition, and a compelling product roadmap and narrative that drives user adoption.
This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.

What we're looking for:

  • 3+ years in the product marketing function with 7+ years of total experience, ideally having spent time focusing on end users in the SaaS, mobile apps, and or security. Bonus: you have SMB experience.
  • You have led and managed comprehensive go-to-market strategies including cross-functional launch plans, audience segmentation, product positioning, messaging frameworks, competitive analysis, and setting clear goals.
  • You can strategically partner with product, marketing, engineering, design, customer success, project management, and analytics teams to launch compelling campaigns, programs, and strategies that drive user awareness, product adoption, and retention.
  • You represent the voice-of-the-customer and can distill actionable product roadmap recommendations from customer feedback, market research, and competitive analysis.
  • You have a data-driven mindset and regularly analyze key feature metrics and drivers in order to deliver product optimization, user adoption journey, and marketing campaign recommendations.
  • You are a strong communicator able to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization and can also represent the company in front of customers.
  • You are a self-starter and enjoy leading the way on projects where there may be shifting product timelines. You regularly reprioritize work to have maximum business impact and are comfortable discussing trade-offs.
  • Culture is important to you. You value supporting others, listening and learning, winning as a team, and ultimately having fun with the people you work with. You can also navigate the unique challenges of a remote-first workplace and distributed team, including occasional travel.

What you can expect:

  • Own the story: Create positioning and messaging frameworks for our end user personas, products, and features by working closely with product, user research, and marketing to understand customer needs and pain points.
  • Launch the product: Lead and drive the strategy for launches by building comprehensive plans and partnering with our campaign marketing, brand, public relations, digital marketing, social, sales, and customer success teams.
  • Voice-of-the-customer: Champion the needs and pain points of customers through user feedback, interviews, competitive intelligence, and market research.
  • Be data-driven: Provide recommendations on how to improve product adoption and retention by analyzing telemetry data, campaign performance and win/loss data.
  • Bring your unique perspective: Develop and implement best practices and frameworks that improve outcomes for the company.
  • Work collaboratively: Partner closely with Marketing, Product Management, Design, Engineering, and Customer Support teams that focus on the consumer end user audience.
