Why you will love this role:

As a Manufacturing Deployment & AIT Manager for [Location], you will lead the end-to-end deployment and operational readiness of a single ICEYE satellite integration facility. You will oversee the local facility’s setup from project initiation through commissioning and, once the site becomes operational, transition to lead the on-site Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AIT) team.

This role is pivotal in establishing and managing one of ICEYE’s key manufacturing locations, ensuring that your site is delivered on time, within scope and budget, and capable of supporting high-quality satellite production.

What you will do in this role:

Deployment Phase

  • Lead the execution and delivery of your assigned satellite integration facility—from kickoff to handover.
  • Own the local deployment plan, including schedule, budget, and milestone tracking.
  • Coordinate activities across construction partners, supply chain, logistics, IT, and security to ensure full facility readiness.
  • Work closely with ICEYE’s central engineering, production, and manufacturing infrastructure teams to ensure your site meets all technical and operational standards.
  • Identify and mitigate local risks and blockers, ensuring transparent communication with global stakeholders.
  • Drive accountability among local contractors, partners, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Ensure a seamless transition from facility deployment to operational AIT readiness.

AIT Operations Phase

  • Build, manage, and lead the on-site AIT team responsible for satellite assembly, integration, and testing activities.
  • Oversee mechanical, electrical, and system-level assembly processes to ensure compliance with ICEYE’s production and quality standards.
  • Plan and execute local testing campaigns, ensuring performance, reliability, and safety criteria are met.
  • Manage AIT resources, schedules, and priorities to meet production targets.
  • Review and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including assembly procedures, test plans, results, and non-conformity reports.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in collaboration with central engineering teams.
  • Continuously improve local AIT processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and throughput.

What you need to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Systems Engineering (or related field).
  • 7+ years of experience in facility deployment, manufacturing operations, or spacecraft/satellite integration.
  • Proven ability to manage end-to-end technical deployment projects in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Strong understanding of AIT processes, including mechanical assembly, electrical integration, and testing.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methods (Gantt, WBS, Critical Path, risk logs, etc.).
  • Experience coordinating with construction, logistics, and external vendors.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in the local language of the site is a strong advantage.

Additionally, it would be beneficial if you had these attributes and skills:

  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, or precision manufacturing sectors.
  • Familiarity with cleanroom environments, RF systems, or satellite test setups.
  • Experience using tools such as Jira and Linux-based systems.
  • Hands-on experience with lab and test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, etc.).
  • Prior experience leading or mentoring multidisciplinary technical teams.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and fast-paced, proactive approach.

What do we offer?
