As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be a cornerstone of our IT infrastructure team. This role requires initiative and self-management, allowing you to architect, design, and implement the networks that connects our global operations. What will you do in this role?

• Architecture and Design: Participate in architecting, designing, and implementing cutting-edge network infrastructure.
• Strategic Growth: Plan and build new network solutions for new business locations and evolving requirements.
• Maintenance and Operations: Maintain and patch the current network infrastructure while taking the lead in developing new processes. You will also handle operational tasks like implementing tickets and operating firewalls.
• Troubleshooting: Skillfully troubleshoot both wireless and wired network environments to ensure reliable connectivity.
• Optimization: Proactively seek opportunities to optimize network design and enhance operational efficiency.
• Process Leadership: Take the lead in developing and refining network processes and documentation to ensure clarity and consistency.

What tech stack will you be working with?

• Routing & Switching: Enterprise-level routing and switching protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and network operating systems (e.g., JUNOS, Cisco IOS).
• Firewalls: Next-generation firewalls, with a primary focus on Palo Alto.
• VPN Technologies: Various VPNs to ensure secure remote access and site-to-site connectivity.
• Network Tools: Network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools like SolarWinds.
• Scripting Languages: Python or Perl for scripting and automation.
• Public Cloud: Networking technologies from public cloud providers (e.g., AWS Transit Gateways, Azure WAF).
• SASE Architecture: Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solutions, primarily Palo Alto Prisma Access.

• CCNP or equivalent knowledge with 5+ years of experience in routing and switching within an enterprise or service provider environment.
• Proven experience with firewalls, with strong expertise in Palo Alto technology being highly advantageous.
• An in-depth understanding of communication protocols, especially TCP/IP, and routing protocols like BGP and OSPF.
• Familiarity with access control models and robust network security practices.
• Knowledge of a coding language for scripting, such as Python or Perl.
• Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools.
• A solid understanding of network device operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS).
• Demonstrable understanding of network design best practices.

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points)

• Experience with SASE architecture, particularly Palo Alto Prisma Access.
• Experience in scoping and planning network infrastructure implementations and migrations.
• Experience with networking in public cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Broader experience with IT infrastructure.
• Experience with wireless network technologies.

• Base salary range for this position is 6000 - 9000€ per month (gross), contingent on your experience level, and will be negotiated individually
