🚀 The Role: Senior Security Engineer at ICEYE
Are you someone who loves outsmarting cyber threats before they've even had their morning coffee? Do you dream of securing the digital universe while working with fun people who get things done? Well, have we got the job for you!
We’re on the lookout for a Senior Security Engineer to join our Security Engineering team and help us keep ICEYE’s systems strong, secure, and resilient. You’ll be working closely with developers, platform pros, and product gurus to bake security right into our infrastructure and development lifecycle. From building rock-solid mission-critical systems to hunting down threats before they get comfy—this role is all about clever, proactive security.
This is a hands-on, sleeves-rolled-up kind of gig. If you're into solving tough problems, automating the boring stuff, and staying one step ahead of the baddies (aka Very Serious Threat Actors), we want to hear from you.
🛡️ What You’ll Be Up To
- Architecting secure systems like a digital fortress—access control, API protection, auth frameworks, you name it.
- Crafting secure and scalable infrastructure workflows using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)—because manual setups are so 2005.
- Embedding security into our DevOps pipelines.
- Running threat modelling, spotting vulnerabilities, and beefing up our security controls.
- Teaming up with devs and ops folks to make sure security best practices are second nature.
- Automating the repetitive stuff so we can focus on the cool, complex challenges.
- Keeping your finger on the pulse of the latest security trends and turning insights into action.
🎯 What You Bring to the Table
Must-Haves:
- You've been around the (security) block—solid experience as a Security Engineer with a strong technical backbone.
- You understand access control (OAuth2.0, OIDC, the works) and know how to keep the right people in and the wrong ones out.
- APIs are your jam, and you know how to wrap them in delicious layers of security.
- DevSecOps? Been there, automated that.
- Cloud security skills, especially in AWS.
Bonus Points If You Also:
- Started out as a developer or software architect, or perhaps acted as a security champion in the past.
- Have experience with Kubernetes and Istio.
- Know your way around networks, on-premise systems, and their security quirks.
- Have tinkered with tools like HashiCorp Vault or Open Policy Agent (OPA).
- Have a high quality meme game.
If you’re looking for a place where security is taken seriously but the team knows how to have a good time, we’d love to chat!
What’s In It for You?
- A job that matters in a dynamic Earth Observation environment with a scale-up approach
- An independent role with a supportive and diverse work environment
- Occupational healthcare, occupational and accident insurance
- A yearly benefit budget to spend as you wish (i.e. on sport, transport, bike benefit, wellness, lunch, etc.)
- Phone subscription with iPhone of choice
- Time for self-development, research, training, conferences, or certification schemes
- Inspiring and collaborating offices and silent workspaces enable you to focus
- A wide variety of the best coffee, tea, snacks, and sweets to accompany your daily space mission
- Gross salary range for this position is €6000-€7500€ per month (gross) contingent on your experience level, and will be negotiated individually
