What do we do?

ICEYE is building and operating its commercial constellation of small Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites with SAR data available to customers. Our satellites acquire images of Earth at any time – even when it’s cloudy or dark – providing commercial and government partners with unmatched persistent monitoring capabilities. Information derived from our SAR images helps customers make data-driven decisions to address time-critical challenges in various sectors, such as maritime, disaster management, insurance, and finance.

What are we looking for?

To support the company's growth, we are continuing to scale our accounting team and looking to hire a senior accountant. This position will report to the Director, Group Accounting.

About the role?

As a senior accountant, you will be an integral part of the group accounting team based in Espoo. You will be involved in a wide range of IFRS accounting topics such as IAS 38 and IFRS 15, consolidation of the overall financial statements, supporting third party service providers in the preparation of subsidiary journal entries and financial statements, preparation of the annual consolidated financial statements, preparation of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations and helping to ensure an appropriate level of internal controls are in place and operating effectively.

This position requires a high degree of autonomy, yet also needs to be an excellent team player.

Qualifications

To succeed in this position, the candidate ideally has

  • Bachelor or master's degree in finance or accounting
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Big 4 experience is preferred
  • Knowledge and familiarity with IFRS topics such as IFRS 2, IFRS 15, IFRS 16 and IAS 38
  • Proficient in MS Office and familiarity with NetSuite would be preferred
  • Fluent in English with fluency in Finnish preferred
  • Strong organizational skills along with being hands on and having a proactive attitude.
